Without a belief in God, we have no “unalienable rights.” Without these rights, we have no absolutes. Without absolutes, we have no moral authority. Without moral authority, we have no foundation for, nor any right to enforce the rule of law. Without the rule of law, there can be no government. And, if this great experiment of “government of the people, by the people, and for the people … [should] perish from the earth,” we will have no Liberty... and I dare say no second chance.

And, if we should wantonly squander the “Blessings of Liberty” secured “to ourselves and our Posterity” through that “last measure of devotion” freely given by Patriots-past, and as ordained and established through our Constitution; if we should, due to the hubris of fools, be left bereft and adrift in a pretentious denial of the “truths [which are] self-evident, that all men are created equal, and are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights;” and if we should despise those Rights and also the blessings poured upon this nation in an unfathomable abundance by a Benevolent Providence — the very blessings responsible for the birth and prosperity of this land of Freedom; indeed if we should, then — “may God help us.”

For, as it has been repeatedly stated: the price of Liberty is eternal vigilance; and evil persons who possess wanton lusts for conquest, greed, and power will not hesitate to perpetuate every form of barbarism we could dread to imagine upon ourselves, our children, and our children’s children!

The full truth about the Pro-Life agenda and movement.

     The Pro-Life movement encompasses promoting a life-ethic; i.e., the protection of innocent human life as sacrosanct, from conception until natural death. Additionally, contrary to propaganda and misunderstanding, the mission of the movement is to care for the mothers-in-need (pre-and-post natal care and assistance through pregnancy centers, church groups, fund-raisers, etc.), and heartfelt love (not condemnation) toward reconciling "aborted" mothers with a loving God... the healing and release from the guilt and PTSD which result from the abortion procedure. Abortion advocates, due to the requisite underpinnings of their advocacy, deny and invalidate these needs and traumas of the post-aborted mother, worsening the harm inflicted. "Always remember that JESUS forgives you, loves you and is healing you every single day! The peace of Christ be with you!"

However fashionable in certain circles, it is clearly fallacious to posit the notion that the Cross of Christ and the Framers' Vision of Liberty through self-government are somehow incompatible; that our Liberty must be held separate from religious principle.

In fact it was the pulpits of America which gave birth to the patriots' dream of Liberty and ultimately the hard-fought realization of that dream. They propounded the teachings of first: the personal redemption of man from the bondages which had resulted from the transgression of nature's law and nature's God; and second, that it was self-evident that men possessed rights granted to them by their Creator, and as a result were at liberty to establish a government of their own choosing -- not one imposed by the dictates of a monarchy, or any other form of tyranny.

Thus, it was through the Liberty provided through the Cross of Christ that men were able to govern their personal behavior, and with this capacity, to be participants in the establishment and success of a government, of the people, by the people, and for the people.

At first it may sound extreme, but ponder the following: given the aforementioned precepts, any doctrine which professes the contrary reaches to the realm of sedition, becoming a viral toxin to the very lifeblood of a free people, whose founding documents and resultant constitutional republic are built upon a bedrock-comprehension of Judeo-Christian values, and solely thereby, protect and guarantee our Creator-endowed rights.

Super Tuesday

[Originally e-mailed to family/friends on Feb. 4, 2008, this post has proven to be spot on.  Our nation has suffered due to the election of persons who care not for the representation of the values of the majority of Americans, but rather their own political and ideological agendas.  Pretty speeches and promises of largesse do not a statesman make.]

With what is at stake for the American family, we believe that this could well be the most important election of our lifetime.

I had a third-grade teacher, strict, wise, and beloved, who once pointed out that when in doubt as to the correct choice on a test, one should first attempt to weed out the wrong choices and then to proceed from there.

Using this simple methodology, the following questions come to mind:

• Should one vote for a candidate who does not support the preeminent plank(s) in their party’s platform?
• As a person of faith, should one vote for a candidate whose absolute solidarity with his/her core principles and values is less than a probable certainty?
• Should one, based upon biased information blared through corrupt and un-churched media elites, their masters, and their surrogates, cast a vote, not for who –should- be in office but for the candidate who “can win?”
• Finally, and I would posit -- most importantly, can one, in good conscience, vote for a candidate who will not pledge to hold sacrosanct and immutable the very first of the “Creator-endowed” rights delineated in our Declaration of Independence – the “self-evident” foundations which led ultimately to the legal instrument which serves to codify the governance of our more perfect Union, these United States of America?

We are certainly aware that not all people of good conscience will necessarily agree on many things, let alone those with regard to law and politics. However, we believe that the political party, the Republican Party, which has and does continue to hold the Sanctity of Human Life as a major supportive plank in its platform must provide its constituents with candidates holding to the same (the Democratic Party is for Abortion on Demand – without parental consent for minors, through all nine months of pregnancy, and without the need for a medically compelling reason).

And now we would leave you with this quote, taken from the National Right to Life PAC’s “Statement on Presidential Candidates.” This is the largest pro-life PAC in the nation. The following statement is not a candidate endorsement, but it speaks to the subject of this e-mail:

National Right to Life is grateful for the strong pro-life record established by Mike Huckabee as governor of Arkansas, and recognizes that Governor Huckabee has taken the strongest pro-life position on all of the life issues of any of the remaining candidates for president.
